Mayor Zohran Mamdani admitted he doesn’t have the authority to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu in New York City– but continued to slam the Israeli prime minister as a “war criminal” who is “not welcome,” in remarks aired Tuesday night.

The pro-Palestinian, socialist mayor said his administration legally cannot take Netanyahu into custody if he visits the Big Apple, in a video posted on X.

“It is clear we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant,” Mamdani said.
