Mammoth floats out of the Danube River

A resident of the Ruse region village of Ryahovo in Bulgaria came across an interesting find, reports Bulgarian National Television.

The critically low level of the Danube River revealed the alleged remains of a mammoth. The discovery was made on July 28.

The Regional History Museum in the Danube city of Ruse says that a lower jaw, two tusks and a rib have been found.

Experts are expected to arrive on site to remove the bones for examination. After the analyses, the specialists will accurately determine the origin and age of the find.
