A man was found unconscious after a fire broke out in an upmarket flat in Hong Kong’s Mid-Levels area on Sunday, with 50 residents evacuated from the building.
The blaze broke out shortly before 5pm in a flat in Tower 2 of the Elegant Terrace development on Conduit Road.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and put out the flames within about 15 minutes.
They found a man unconscious inside the flat and he was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital in Wan Chai for treatment. His condition is not immediately known.
Around 50 people were able to evacuate safely, either on their own or with help from emergency responders.
