A man from northern Israel contracted rabies after being bitten by his pet dog, Israeli media reported on Sunday.
According to the reports, the man was sent to intensive care following the bite and has been sedated as well as put on a ventilator.
Israel's Health Bureau has reportedly conducted an epidemiological investigation to offer a preventive vaccination for individuals who may come into contact with the patient and the dog.
