Manhunt under way in Hong Kong after resident slashed in Sha Tin and later dies

Hong Kong police are searching for two suspects after a resident was attacked with a knife in a quiet, upscale residential area of Sha Tin on Sunday and later died in hospital.

According to the force, the victim in his fifties was chased and slashed by the attackers who later fled the scene in a taxi.

Shocked passers-by called police, and emergency responders found the man unconscious. He was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The incident occurred at around 5.25pm near the intersection of Lai Wo Lane and Sui Wo Road near Sha Tin Junior School, operated by the English Schools Foundation, in Fo Tan.

Police are searching for the attackers.
