Absolute insanity!
Unfortunately for No. 8 Louisville, their March Madness dreams came to an end early after they were bounced from the first round of the NCAA Tournament in a 89-75 defeat Thursday against No. 9 Creighton. And to make it worse for them, the game took place in their home state.
But before we got to the close of the contest, we ended up seeing a boiling point moment, and boy oh boy. (RELATED: Maryland Coach Kevin Willard Takes Heated Beef With AD Damon Evans Public Day Before Huge March Madness Game)
Pat Kelsey, the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals, was hit with a technical foul after shouting at a referee. But that was elementary school compared to what happened next.
Following the foul, each team went to their sideline and huddled up. Well, while that was going on, a fan tossed a full bottle of water on the court, nearly hitting the Creighton bench. The game ended up being delayed.
“That was a full bottle of water. That was very dangerous, and it went right over the Creighton bench,” stated play-by-play announcer Brian Anderson. “I’ll tell ya, whoever did that should never be allowed to come into this arena again.”

This was uncalled for by the fan, there’s no doubt about that, but did the commentators have to be so cringe about it?
It’s like this random tweet I saw:

Maybe it’s the hip hop-like nature in me, but I couldn’t help but to look at Brian and Jim as a couple of cornballs.
