Maricopa County breaks record for single-day voter registration

Election officials in Maricopa County say the county saw the largest single day of voter registration submittals in its history as it detailed final preparation and latest turnout numbers with less than 24 hours to Election Day.

“We had people with entire trash bags full of voter registration forms in our lobby,” said Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, who noted that approximately 90,000 registration forms were sent in on the last official day to register to vote, Oct. 7.

Of those, about 50,000 were able to be processed, while the others “needed attention,” the recorder said, who explained some forms were damaged, illegible, or listed fake names like those of celebrity or television characters.

A large number of these registrations forms were obtained from groups that have a history of being “problematic,” to the office, officials said.

“We have asked our lawmakers repeatedly in years past to address the integrity of paper voter registration forms dropped off by third party groups. Sadly, nothing has been done,” Richer said in a tweet.

So far, the county has received approximately 1.5 million ballots returned for processing, which officials say is more than what was received at this point in 2016 and similar in numbers to 2020.

Of the 27,000 that have yet to be cured—ballots that failed signature verification, were incomplete, or were otherwise unable to be counted—more than half have already been fixed.

“We have until five calendar days after election day in order to cure as many of those as we can,” Richer said.

With the high turnout and heated races, election officials say they’re more ready than ever for Election Day, but those headed to the polls to vote in person should still expect to wait in line.

Someone actually still has to walk in and vote with these though correct?

It seems they think they will need more fake ballots.

Same old, same old. Overwhelming the system allows much more “mischief” to slip through the gaps.

The ‘Rat Secretary of State and ‘Rat Governor have that covered, too.

The ghost of McQueeg still walks the legislature halls in Arizona.

I think the registrations could be used as "stand by" votes which could be input to the computer at 3AM on Wednesday if the results aren't what the Democrats want.

“We had people with entire trash bags full of voter registration forms in our lobby,”

Nothing fishy about that whatsoever, move along, nothing to see here.

I skimmed, but getting confused why they talk of voter registrations and number of ones not allowed, then below mentioning what seems to be the not allowed voter registration number in the same sentence as if they are uncured ballots?

If you’re a republican or even just American why would you live in Maricopa county?

What the hell are the Maricopa RATs and RINOs going to do to try to steal this election — again?

Actually, it is not that bad!
At least half of the real people are Republicans, probably a lot more!
Lot better than CA or MA!

If they can’t take out Trump in AZ, they’re at least going to try and prevent Lake from winning. Again.

““We had people with entire trash bags full of voter registration forms in our lobby,” said Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer,”

Certainly sounds legit.

Richer is and always has been a dirty piece of RINO shit — who got stomped in his primary election earlier this year but is still in office through the end of his term in 2024.

You don’t need to guess which team he’s “rooting” for here, and behind the scenes he’s probably doing a lot more than just cheerleading.

P.S. Stephen Heap, the incoming Maricopa Recorder who squashed Richer, is a solid conservative. But Maricopa will have to wait until 2025 to have a vote-counter who isn’t rabidly anti-Republican (McCainiacs excepted) and especially anti-conservative.

There’s always a Pollyanna who has to show up somewhere on just about every FR thread. Yeah, we need to “rejoice” while the left spatters us with toxic mud. It could be a helluva lot worse, you know.

90,000 ballots dropped off on the last day, thousands in trash bags…

And we’re spending hundreds of billions to fight for “democracy” in Ukraine?

I’m sure there’s a stack of 90000 preprinted Harris votes to relieve these “voters” of the difficulty of actually voting.

It’s hard to vote when you are a ghost, so they need help.

Now that early voting and mail-in ballots are part of the process, registrations for an upcoimng election should have a cut-off date 2-4 weeks before said election.
