As Marvel Rivals draws closer to its second season, the game director has spoken up about Team-Up changes players can expect.
It’s still a while before the second season of Marvel Rivals rolls out, yet there are already plenty of exciting things players can look forward to. As first spotted by fans in the in-game lore, Season 2 will reportedly revolve around the Hellfire Gala theme.
Not only that, but from all the hints gathered from the game so far, it’s expected that the new hero Blade will be introduced in this upcoming season, adding to the ever-expanding roster list.
From the beginning, devs have already made it clear that they plan to add a plethora of new content in the long run. As it turns out, such new content is set to arrive in the form of new Team-Ups in the coming seasonal update.
Marvel Rivals set to add new Team-Ups and “adjust” existing ones
In an interview with PCGamer, Marvel Rivals game director Guangyun Chen revealed that content for Season 2 is “ready and set to go”, while designs for Seasons 3 and 4 have also been completed under “intensive development,” reassuring players that everything is progressing smoothly.

Hulk and Iron Man’s Team-Up is considered one of the best ones.
As the topic of maintaining hero balance was brought up, the director mentioned that “Team-Up skills are dynamic.”
“Starting from Season 2, we will introduce new Team-Up skills with the seasonal update and adjust some existing ones. Together with seasonal overall balance adjustments, this will create a new combat environment and experience for the season,” Chen added.
Though it wasn’t further elaborated on whose Team-ups will be adjusted, it’ll certainly be interesting to see what the devs come up with next to shake things up.
After all, Team-Up abilities are one of the things that makes Marvel Rivals heroes feel even more unique. These abilities allow players to run comps with characters that synergize well with each other, giving them one extra ability.
Some of them can be game-changing, too, like how Mantis and Star-Lord can be resurrected on the spot thanks to Adam Warlock’s team-up or how Doctor Strange and Iron Man can deal even more damage by pairing with Hulk.
