Marvel Rivals devs have managed to fix a bug on one particular hero, an error that made her almost unplayable, all in just a matter of hours.
Peni Parker has been a hot topic as of late in the Marvel Rivals community – and it’s due to a bug fix in the March 13 patch that unintentionally nerfed the Vanguard. This bug fix was originally intended to make her Arachno-Mines stay visible when landing outside of her webs.
However, players have noticed that her mines were destroyed easily after the patch went live, regardless of where they were. They even had a noticeable delay before going invisible, making them all but useless.
Many fans took their frustration to social media, begging the developers to reverse the change as she felt “unplayable.” Once again, the developers left the community in awe for quickly addressing the issue.
Marvel Rivals devs quickly fix issue with Peni Parker’s mines after fans complain
Not long after players voiced their frustrations with Peni on social media, devs addressed the issue in the official Discord server, saying they were aware of it and working on a fix. Just about nine hours later, they gave another update to let players know it had already been fixed.
Instead of the mines getting attacked and destroyed during her burrowing and explosive phases, devs said they’re now “back to their normal behavior”, essentially invulnerable and undestroyable under her webs.
Seeing how devs responded to this, a lot of players were in awe and praised them for listening to the community, as seen in multiple Reddit threads,
“Credit where credit is due. In certain other hero shooters, developers ignored players for years. Good job, devs!” praised one user.
Another one said: “Can’t deny that’s some really quick work! Glad to see it wasn’t something that would take weeks or months to fix or address.”
“Honestly, it’s always still refreshing seeing them respond so quickly,” mentioned another player.
This isn’t the first time that devs have done something like this. They have also quickly reversed their decision regarding the mid-season rank reset after receiving mass complaints.
