Perez Hilton is a proud parent to three kids — son Mario III, daughter Mia and daughter Mayte.
The gossip blogger welcomed his little ones with the help of gestational carriers, describing the “quite complicated and expensive” process in a Huffington Post essay in 2017.
“All kids are mine genetically,” he clarified at the time. “Each was born thanks to the generosity of a different surrogate, using eggs from the same anonymous donor.”
He added, “While I don’t rule out adoption in the future, for me it was important to have kids with my DNA. My dad passed away when I was 15 and having my children is a way of him living on through them ― literally.”
Hilton gushed about how much he “love[s] being a dad more than anything else” and “works hard at it,” noting, “I have my hands very full changing diapers and taking kids to swim class. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!”
Page Six hears the little ones, notably, were not present when the entertainment columnist was hospitalized in August 2026 after sharing an alarming TikTok livestream performing self-harm.

Mario Armando Lavandeira III
Hilton, born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., started his family in February 2013.
“I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy — with lots of hair on his tiny head,” he wrote on his website at the time.
“My family is overjoyed at this newest and most cherished addition,” Hilton continued. “I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honored and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his.”
When Mario became a teenager in February 2026, his dad gushed via Instagram, “13 years ago today my life got so much fuller — and better! I celebrate you today and every day, my son!! I’m so lucky!”
Mia Alma Lavandeira
Mario became a big brother in May 2015 when daughter Mia Alma arrived.
“It is with great pride and relief that I can finally announce: I am a dad again!” he captioned the newborn’s Instagram debut at the time.
Hilton told Page Six at the time that the infant’s name means “my soul” because he’s “cheesy like that.”
She “definitely lives up to that,” Hilton told his Instagram followers while honoring her 11th birthday inMay 2026.
He dubbed the preteen “radiant, kind, gentle and strong-willed” in the caption.
Mayte Amor Lavandeira
In October 2017, Hilton’s third child, Mayte, joined the family.
She “waited until 41 weeks to make her fashionably late arrival,” he captioned hospital photos via Instagram, quipping that she was “doing everything a newborn should do and doing it so well [since] she’s a whole seven days advanced!”
In an eighth birthday tribute in October 2025, Hilton gushed, “Love is in her name — and she sure is loved!!!! SO MUCH!!!!”
