Royal commentator Angela Levin has launched a scathing attack on Meghan Markle, accusing the Duchess of Sussex of deliberately mimicking the late Queen Elizabeth II in her Netflix series.

Levin claims Markle's green waffle creations featured in "With Love, Meghan" were a bizarre attempt to depict the monarch.

The show, which debuted in the global top 10 on Netflix, has already been renewed for a second season despite facing widespread criticism.

Speaking to GBN Originals, Levin pointed to specific elements in Meghan's Netflix show that she believes were mocking the late monarch.

"I think it was done deliberately. Do you remember when she did the curtsy and she got the giggles because she found it so funny? She was very rude then and this is another way of doing it," Levin continued.

The commentator didn't hold back in her assessment of Meghan's intentions.

"I can't think of anybody doing anything more unkind. She's very clever and cunning because she will say 'I didn't realise'," she added.

Nana Akua echoed Levin's criticism, suggesting Meghan appeared not her usual self in her Netflix performance.

"It looks like she's lost the plot a little bit, to be honest. It looks to me a bit crazy, a bit manic," Akua told GBN Originals.

She further described the show as having "so many weird elements to it."

The comments add to growing scrutiny of Meghan series, which has faced criticism from various quarters since its release.

Meghan's show follows her sharing hosting and cooking tips from her Montecito, California kitchen, featuring celebrity guests including Mindy Kaling and her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos recently defended the Duchess, telling Variety: "I think Meghan is underestimated in terms of her influence on culture."

He added: "People are fascinated with Meghan Markle. She and Harry are overly dismissed."

The streaming giant struck a $100 million partnership with the couple five years ago.

The show has also faced mockery on late-night television, with Jimmy Fallon recently poking fun at Meghan on The Tonight Show.

During a "Trivia Night" segment, Fallon joked about scientists being mystified by "why Meghan Markle makes her own pretzel bags."

Additionally, food experts have questioned the originality of Meghan's recipes, with chef Xanthe Clay suggesting her single skillet spaghetti dish bears striking similarities to food writer Anna Jones's 2015 recipe.
