Megyn Kelly cast aside her Curb Your Enthusiasm fandom to throw some surprise shade at the show's creator this week.

Kelly criticized Larry David, 78, for calling Donald Trump's outdoor UFC event 'a travesty' on Tuesday.

David - the co-creator of Seinfeld as well - also said it made him 'embarrassed to be an American.' He made the remarks to a Variety reporter on a Los Angeles red carpet.

Kelly, during Wednesday's edition of her web show, did not hold back with her response.

'Like speaking of DEI and wokeness, Larry David, whose show I enjoy - I think Curb Your Enthusiasm is so clever and very funny - but I just wish he would stop with the political, over-the-top stuff,' she said, before playing the clip.

'There’s no question Larry lives in either Beverly Hills or Bel Air and is living it up big,' Kelly said.

She went on to accuse the Brooklyn-born comic of becoming so out-of-touch that he was 'turn[ing] his nose up' at a sport that is inherently 'American.'

'I don't like UFC because I don't like violence. I don't like boxing. I don't like any violence - I can't handle it,' she added.

'It's not a class thing like it clearly is with Larry David.'

David's net worth is reported to be roughly $400 million.

Kelly criticized Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld showrunner Larry David on her web show Wednesday

David, 78, labeled Donald Trump's outdoor UFC event earlier this month 'a travesty' on Tuesday, saying it was 'embarrassing' it was held outside the White House

'What else can you say about it? It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed to be an American,' he said

Kelly framed herself as a fan of the show, which follows a fictionalized version of the comic, mostly in Los Angeles

His fortune - largely fueled by Seinfeld - was halved following his divorce from first wife Laurie David in 2007. He married producer Ashley Underwood in 2020.

'What else can you say about it? It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed to be an American,' he said of the UFC staged outside the White House on the South Lawn on June 14.

In 2021, David branded lawyer Alan Dershowitz 'disgusting' over his support for Trump, after the two bumped into each other on Martha's Vineyard, eyewitnesses said.

Dershowitz confirmed the fight in a 2022 interview with the New Yorker.

David's TV wife on Curb, actress Cheryl Hines, told NewsNation in December that she had lost contact with him after the show's series finale in April 2024. Hines is married to Trump cabinet member Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in real life.

'I think he’s mad… because Bobby’s in the administration,' she said at the time.

David's newest project is  a sketch-comedy series centered around the Founding Fathers set to release on July 4. The show was produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground Productions.

David's exchange with the Variety reporter was at the series premiere.
