Melania Trump did not appear to give Jill Biden a gift as she greeted the outgoing First Lady and President Joe Biden on inauguration day.
The scene came on Monday morning, as Melania and her husband, Donald Trump, shook hands with The Biden's on The White House steps just hours before he is set to be sworn in as the 47th President of The United States.
In 2017, Melania made headlines as she gave Michelle Obama a blue box from Tiffany & Co. while meeting the couple in front of The White House.
Michelle awkwardly took the gift, exclaiming 'You brought a gift!' and struggled to figure out where to put it.
Her husband, Barack, swooped in, taking the box and telling them, 'I'll take care of the protocol here.'
Michelle later revealed what was in the box during a 2018 appearance on the now-defunct Ellen DeGeneres Show.
'It was a lovely frame,' Michelle said during the appearance, according to People.
'Well, there's all this protocol. I mean, this is like a state visit, so they tell you that you're going to do this, they're going to stand here,' Michelle continued.

However, this time, it looks like Melania did not offer the same gift to Jill, or seemingly any gift, for that matter.
She showed up on Monday morning empty-handed, although it's unclear if she gave Jill something behind-the-scenes.
When the couple arrived, Biden greeted Trump with just two words: 'Welcome home.'
The incoming and former first lady stunned in monochromatic looks for the inauguration, with Melania wearing a navy blue coat and Jill in a tie-waist purple one.
Melania's outfit was made by American designer Adam Lippes.
She paired it with navy blue suede Manolo Blahnik heels and black leather gloves.
However, the real star of the show was a large navy wide-brimmed hat with a flat top and white trimming around the top, designed by Eric Javits, also an American brand.

When Biden leaves the White House, it will be his last time as president. Trump takes the reins at noon ET.
Ahead of the president-elect's arrival, Biden told reporters he was feeling 'good. It’s a beautiful day.' He said his message for the day was 'joy' and 'hope.'
He also confirmed he wrote a letter for Trump that will be awaiting the new president when he enters the Oval Office. When Biden was asked what was in it, he replied: 'That’s between Trump and me.'
