Women on TikTok have been left infuriated after an interview showing men who say they prefer straight hair goes viral.
In the original video, which received 2.6 million views, multiple men were interviewed by Alex Cochrane and asked if they prefer straight or curly hair.
One man called curly hair 'super messy,' and his friend explained that if a girl has curly hair and it's not frizzy, 'that means they've got good hygiene.'
'How many brunettes with curly hair have you met that would beat a straight haired blonde girl?' the straight hair defender continued.
Commenters were appalled, with some even making reaction videos about how much work it is to maintain curly hair.

While one of the men in the video said he prefers 'curly 100 per cent,' and his friend agreed, the third man explained that he thinks straight hair looks 'fancy' and 'nice,' like 'a girl who takes care of herself.'
In the comments, one woman asked, 'Wait so people think that my frizzy hair means I have bad hygiene?'
'Frizzy hair is not bad hygiene, it's humidity,' another pointed out about what the men considered unkempt locks.
While some applauded their preferences, one woman joked, 'they're talking about hair maintenance like it's them maintaining it lol.'
Content creator Hannah, who's based in Philadelphia and jokes in her bio 'my hair is my only personality trait,' shared the second clip, as well as her response.
'I know we're not listening to men's opinions anymore but basically saying that because you have curly hair you look like you don't take care of yourself is such an insane take,' Hannah said.
'Girls with curly hair probably take care of themselves a little too much with our three-hour wash day routine, all the different treatments we do, if anything, it's too much,' Hannah said.
Her 201,000 followers were fuming, with one saying, 'Ironic take considering curly hair routines takes AT LEAST 90 minutes.'

'One woman said she was trying to 'figure out how the hair your born with defines how well you take care of yourself'
Some said they should look at their own hygiene, with one person writing, 'They literally don't even shower.'

The curly girl hair method has gone viral on TikTok as women embrace their natural texture and involves multiple products and steps.
Many women have been open about how having curly hair has been seen as 'unkempt' and 'unprofessional' as they've worked to change the stereotypes.
