A national championship, the Heisman Trophy, might be one of those years for “The U.”

Having three grade-A gritty wins on their schedule, beefed up by five dominant blowouts, and doing this with the second toughest schedule in the nation, the undefeated Miami Hurricanes (8-0) are in prime standing for a national championship run when the College Football Playoff begins. And it’s in large part because of their Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Cam Ward.

Up until this point in the 2024 season, Ward has tallied an incredible stat line of 2,746 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and only five interceptions, while also having the third best QBR in the nation with a 91.0 figure. Oh, and those passing yards and touchdown tallies? (RELATED: Tennessee Unveils Gorgeous As Hell ‘Dark Mode’ Uniforms. The Video To Show Them Off Is Pure Heat)

Second best in the country. Yes, both of them.

Dominant stats, leading his team to an undefeated record, beating major rivals (Florida and Florida State) to become state champions … Sounds like a Heisman Trophy winner to me.

And the University of Miami officially launched a full out campaign for him, dropping a hype video Tuesday morning to promote “HE1SMAN.”
