You’ve gotta be kidding me…

Mitchell Voit, an infielder for the Michigan Wolverines baseball team, had a viral moment in a recent game against the USC Trojans after he … well … “snorted cocaine” following a triple.

Getting an extra base hit and clearing the bases, Voit made a gesture that he was snorting cocaine, using the white powder on the third base line as the “coke.” It was in the name of good fun and trying to invent a unique celebration, and it ended up going viral online. Hell, even I wrote about it. (RELATED: Michigan Baseball’s Mitch Voit Pulls Incredibly R-Rated Celebration Which Might Change The Game)

Well, now Voit is apologizing about the scene, and you know he was forced to do it. And this is just another example of how sensitive society is, it’s disgusting. People really need to learn how to have a little fun.

“I would like to apologize for my actions on third base yesterday. I made an immature decision in the heat of the moment,” Voit wrote. “The gesture I made does not reflect my character, the household I was raised in, or the block M that I represent in any kind of way. I take full responsibility for what I did, and I am truly sorry to all those who I have negatively impacted by doing this.”

If somebody at Michigan forced him to apologize, what a horrible decision, because now all you’re doing is inviting rival students and fans to troll Voit and the Wolverines into oblivion.

Those unintended consequences, boy … they’ll funk you up.
