Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are set to receive mandatory boxing suspensions following their eight-round Netflix-streamed fight at AT&T Stadium in Texas on Friday night.
Paul emerged victorious over the former heavyweight champion by points decision in what many viewers found to be an underwhelming contest.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which managed the event, will impose a no-spar ban on both fighters to ensure adequate recovery time from any fight-related injuries.
Under the regulations, both fighters will be required to rest for three days per round fought, resulting in a mandatory 24-day suspension.
This suspension period is standard practice in combat sports to protect fighters' safety, with longer bans typically imposed for knockouts or technical knockouts.
The regulator stated: "Medical disqualification of a contestant is for their own safety and may be made at the recommendation of the examining physician or TDLR."

Following the fight, Paul paid tribute to his legendary opponent, stating: "Mike Tyson, this is such an honour.

The 28-year-old added: "It was an honour to fight him. He was exactly what I thought he would be."
