Mike Tyson's aspirations of stepping into the boxing ring again would not materialize if it were up to his wife Lakiha Spicer.
The 58-year-old starred in Netflix's first boxing event, taking on influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who is 30 years his junior, at AT&T Stadium in November.
After the boxing legend suffered a unanimous decision loss in a lackluster eight-rounder, Tyson's son, Amir, told Seconds Out: 'I think he's done.
'My stepmom, she's saying he's done and they're a team,' he added. 'That's husband-and-wife stuff.'
Worried for his father's safety, Amir fears his plea to tell Mike to call it quits would go in one ear and out the other.
Speaking to SunSport, Amir said: 'That chat would be a waste of time! He is his own man.'

Tyson fought 27-year-old Jake Paul in Netflix's first boxing event held at AT&T Stadium
'If I say too much he'd only tell me to shut up and remind me I'm not his dad,' he added. 'I can say my part but he is the grown-up and he will do whatever he wants.'
'I'll chip in and say, 'That was a great last fight, leave it at that.'
'But if he wants to do it then nobody is going to stop him, because he loves it.'
The fight was originally scheduled for July but was postponed due to health concerns from Tyson. After an ulcer flare-up, the former world heavyweight champion was to take a break from training.
Despite fearing for Mike's health, Amir admitted he was proud of his father for stepping into the ring against a much younger competitor.
'I was very proud,' he said. 'But yes of course I was worried. 'I knew he wasn't going to get knocked down or out because he can take those punches.
'But, at the same, Jake is younger, faster, and bigger - when you get older your cardio diminishes,' Amir added.
'But he did it better than any 58-year-old, he went the distance and I am proud as hell of what he did. It was like a Rocky XI moment.
'Most athletes finish and retire into the sunset, but for him to remain this relevant, for so many generations - it shows you everything,' Amir continued. 'I am very proud.'
