Mike Tyson and Jake Paul's controversial fight next week is still under threat of being cancelled just 24 hours before they're set to walk into the ring at the AT&T Stadium.

Millions are expected to tune in on November 15 when Paul and Tyson go toe-to-toe in one of boxing's most intriguing fights.

The fight has already been pushed back once after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up while on board a plane earlier this year.

That raised further concerns about Tyson's health at the age of 58 going in to fight someone 31 years younger than him.

Despite some being worried about Tyson's wellbeing, the fight is still scheduled to be a professional bout.

It will be Tyson's first professional fight since his defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005 and will be eight two-minute rounds.

The fighters will also be using 14oz gloves as opposed to the more traditional 10oz weight, which offer more protection and have more padding.

The Texas Department of License and Regulation Communications Manager, Tela Mange, said recently that both fighters have currently passed the medical tests to fight.

However, there will be one more check before the fight takes place next week.

“TDLR is aware of media reports regarding an episode involving Mr. Tyson," Mange told World Boxing News.

"At present, Mr. Tyson and Mr. Paul have met the medical requirements for this event.

“Before the event, TDLR will conduct pre-fight physicals to ensure the health of both fighters.”

But the TDLR will have the final say on whether the fight can go ahead as planned.

It's suggested that it could also be downgraded from a professional bout to an exhibition with the fight being called off the worst-case scenario.
