President Javier Milei will travel to Washington on Tuesday night for what will be his fifth visit to the United States this year.
Milei, 55, has meetings scheduled with business leaders, will deliver a speech at the US Chamber of Commerce and receive two promotional awards during his brief stay in North America.
His programme includes a gala to mark Hispanic Heritage Month and an event on Holocaust remembrance and the fight against anti-Semitism.
Milei is due to depart Buenos Aires at 11pm on Tuesday, October 13, arriving in Washington on Wednesday morning. He will return to Argentina at 8.30am on Friday, October 16.
The President’s first official activity is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, when he will meet Argentine-born entrepreneur and investor Andy Kleinman, the president of video game developer Delphi Interactive.
Kleinman has previously said he is considering opening a new games studio in Argentina, citing renewed interest in the country under Milei’s government.
That will be followed by talks with Harold Hamm, the billionaire founder and chairman emeritus of US oil company Continental Resources, which has rapidly expanded its presence in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale formation.
Continental acquired the Los Toldos II Oeste block from Pluspetrol in late 2025 and subsequently agreed to acquire a 20-percent stake in four blocks operated by Pan American Energy in Neuquén and Río Negro. In August 2026, it agreed to buy a 50-percent stake in Phoenix Global Resources, forming a joint venture with Swiss energy group Mercuria.
Later that evening, Milei will attend the official Hispanic Heritage Month gala, where he is due to receive an award recognising his leadership and global impact in the Hispanic community. He will also deliver a speech.
On Thursday, October 15, President Milei will address the US Chamber of Commerce at 11.20am, presenting a speech entitled ‘The Argentine case: the challenge of economic growth after decades of populism.’
He will also receive the ‘Global Champion of Free Enterprise’ award, in recognition of his advocacy of free enterprise and economic freedom.
At 5pm, Milei will attend an event at Argentina’s Embassy in Washington marking the nation’s spell as pro-tempore presidency of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). The meeting will focus on regional dialogue on Holocaust remembrance and efforts to combat anti-Semitism.
The President is scheduled to leave Washington at 9pm local time on Thursday, arriving back in Argentina on Friday morning.
