Even though they’re only six years apart, Miley Cyrus says the generational age gap between her and boyfriend Maxx Morando is huge.
“He grew up with a laptop [and] I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters,” the “Hannah Montana” alum, who turns 32 on Nov. 23, told Harpers Bazaar in an interview published Wednesday.
“Honestly, he’s raised our dog off Reddit,” she shared. “I’m like, ‘Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this?’ And he’s like, ‘On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah.’”
Cyrus, who is a millennial, shared that she and her 26-year-old Gen Z boyfriend spend a lot of time on social media exchanging memes.
“He’s very similar to me,” she said. “We just don’t take life too seriously.”
The “Flowers” songstress explained that Morando has introduced her to new artists, and they enjoy listening to songs they think are “cringe” but they “love,” such as Train’s 2001 hit “Drops of Jupiter.”
Cyrus and Morando are also working together on her forthcoming album, “Something Beautiful,” per the outlet.
There are no boundaries for the “Wrecking Ball” singer when it comes to mixing close relationships and work, especially after she worked with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, for years.
“I worked with my dad forever,” she said.
“That’s how me and my ex-husband met each other,” Cyrus added, referring to Liam Hemsworth, whom she was married to from 2018 to 2020.
“I’ve always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much.”
Cyrus and the Liily drummer have been reportedly dating since 2021 after they were set up on a blind date.
The couple notably keeps the details of their romance under wraps but Morando supported the pop star when she won the Grammy for best pop solo performance in February.
Days later, insiders told People that Cyrus and Morando had moved in together and were “very happy.”
The “Last Song” actress and Morando were last publicly spotted attending a Future Islands concert in Los Angeles in September.
