Following the US shutdown of TikTok, many of the platform's 170 million American users are scrambling to find a replacement.

On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld the decision to allow the ban to proceed and the Chinese-owned app 'went dark' on Saturday night.

The measure is designed to address Justice Department concerns that China's government could use the app to spy on Americans.

Luckily, DailyMail.com is on hand to continue delivering the viral videos that made us the world’s biggest news site on the platform.

Below you can watch our short video reels, including the latest news, sport, showbiz and royal content.

It comes after an order signed by President Joe Biden last year compelled owners ByteDance to either sell up or withdraw from the US citing the 'grave' national security risk.

While TikTok is extremely popular among younger users and members of Gen-Z, a third of adults in the US also use the platform.

So-called 'TikTok refugees' are now desperately trying to find a new home, with many turning to Chinese social media app RedNote.

The fallout for creators who use the platform as an income source could be even greater, if a similar ban which took place in India in 2020 is anything to go by.

While many influencers managed to migrate onto other platforms, some were never able to recapture their audiences or their earnings.

There is a possible light at the end of the tunnel for TikTok however, amid reports Trump is eying an executive order to suspend the ban for 60 to 90 days.

Sources told the Washington Post the president-elect is keen to be seen as the one to 'save TikTok' with decisive action upon taking office.

Trump has reportedly been made aware of the army of fans he has amassed on the app.

His own account boasts 14 million followers, an content posted by him and his team has been viewed more than 4 billion times, more than megastar Taylor Swift or political for Kamala Harris.

However, legal experts have cautioned that this may not be enough to overturn the ban entirely.

With the future of the app uncertain, DailyMail.com will continue to the latest news in quality, short form videos.
