After Fat Joe's Game 3 performance became a laughing stock on Monday night, fans had a positive reaction to Ashanti's rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner before Game 4 of the World Series.

On Tuesday night, the Yankees looked to keep the 2000s nostalgia trip going, inviting another New York native to perform in their second World Series game in the Bronx since 2009.

While many users blamed the Yankees' Game 3 loss on Fat Joe's embarrassing number on Monday night, some now see a glimmer of hope after Ashanti's redeeming performance.

'Yankees can’t get swept in the World Series after bringing Ashanti out for the anthem,' one fan wrote.

'Omg Ashanti what a QUEEN! She looks and sounds amazing,' another added. 'Let’s hope this is the sharp turn the Yankees need after Fat Joe set the tone last night.'

Fans gushed over Ashanti's national anthem performance before Game 4 of the World Series

'Ashanti is here to save the New York Yankees,' a third chimed in.

'Should’ve had Ashanti over fat Joe last night,' said a fourth. 'Yankees win 9-3 if she did.'

A fifth commented 'If Ashanti can’t wake up the Yankees for this game then they don’t deserve to win.'

The Yankees are on the verge of getting swept in front of their home fans after what has been a dreadful first three games.

As the series shifted over to the Big Apple with the Yankees hanging on to two losses, the team opened up their home stand with a four-minute medley from New York rapper Fat Joe.

Fans took Ashanti's performance as a sign of good things to come for the New York Yankees

However, the South Bronx native's low-impact performance as he walked around the diamond led fans to palm their faces and scratch their scalps. They then flamed the rapper on X for doing more ad-libbing than rapping during the four-minute mashup.

'That man Fat Joe on the mound in Tims,' one captioned screenshots of Fat Joe during the performance. 'I KNOW them groundskeepers off camera having a heart attack.'

'Fat Joe opening up for the Yankees might be one of the worst things I've ever witnessed,' a second added.

Other fans took the Yankees countering Ice Cube's Game 2 performance in Los Angeles with Fat Joe as a sign of things to come for the Yankees.

'Dodgers brought out Ice Cube and the Yankees brought out Fat Joe,' a third fan wrote with two crying emojis to caption a five-second clip of Shannon Sharpe crying.

'Yankees brought in fat Joe to represent the Bronx … we lost,' a fourth wrote.

The Yankees had an unpleasant start to the World Series despite besting the Guardians in the ALCS. In Game 1, the Bronx Bombers blew a 3-2 lead with the game at their mercy as Freddy Freeman scored the walk-off slam to win the game 6-3.

Game 2 was not better for the Yankees as the Dodgers won 4-2, remaining in the driver's seat despite Shohei Ohtani sustaining a shoulder injury and leaving early.

The Dodgers' grip on the stirring wheel got tighter after the 4-2 win in the Big Apple. The third win followed a 6-3 comeback in Game 1 and another 4-2 win in Game 2 at Dodger Stadium.

The Yankees will hope to start an inspiring comeback on Tuesday's Game 4 in the Bronx. Meanwhile, the Dodgers look to complete the sweep on the road and come home to a heroes welcome at the City of Angels.
