A New York man killed both his parents before taking his own life after they spent $10,000 to bail him out of jail for beating his girlfriend, police said.
Justin Sislo, 35, gunned down Steve Sislo, 76, and Donna Walker-Sislo, 72, at their home in Madison before turning the gun on himself, according to investigators.
Authorities were called to the residence on Friday morning, where they were able to see two 'obviously deceased' adult bodies through a window.
Officers also reported the smell of either propane or gasoline and hearing gas escaping into the house.
Sislo had a criminal record and temporary orders of protection against him in place and was not legally allowed to carry the firearm he used, WSYR reported.
He was arrested less than a month earlier for allegedly assaulting his 56-year-old female girlfriend in Cayuga County in Central New York .
He was put under investigation for domestic assault after local police had been tipped off to Sislo having committed the same crime in Madison County, about 60 miles northeast.
On July 29, deputies searched his home and seized several firearms and other evidence.

He was arrested and charged with six counts of assault, three counts of strangulation, six counts of menacing, one of reckless endangerment, four counts of criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of harassment.
Sislo was also charged with promoting a suicide attempt and taken to Madison County jail.
His mother and father came shortly after and paid the five-figure sum to bail their son out.
Sislo and his father appeared to have a difficult relationship, as police had reported a domestic incident between the men on March 22, 2024, though no charges were filed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
