Monster Hunter Wilds devs have issued a warning to players who use cheats in multiplayer sessions, with the devs vowing to take action against “fraudulent” Arena Quest rankings.
Monster Hunter Wilds title update 1 releases on April 4, giving players the chance to take down Mizutsune, Arch-tempered Rey Dau, and interact with others at the new Grand Hub. However, one of the biggest additions is the arrival of Arena Quests.
These time-based quests enable two Hunters to team up and put their skills to the test to secure the best kill times. The quickest runs will be placed on the global leaderboard for everyone to see.
This is incredibly exciting for Monster Hunter speedrunners and players who want to flex their skills to the entire world. However, there have been concerns over cheaters ruining the leaderboard rankings. Well, Monster Hunter Wilds devs have helped ease these fears.
MH Wilds devs issue warning to cheaters
An official post from the Monster Hunter X account revealed how Capcom will be taking measures against players who use cheats in Arena Quests. The devs explained that:
“To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools,” wrote Capcom. “Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests.”
The devs didn’t stop there, as other Hunters who also happen to be in a cheater’s quest will also be scrutinised.

Arena Quest will be under constant surveillance from Capcom.
“If cheating is confirmed in a multiplayer hunt by any member(s) of a team, the completion time for the quest will be deemed invalid and the right to rewards can be revoked for the whole party.”
Although the devs haven’t revealed if noncheating party members will face any account suspensions, it’s best to leave the quest and report any suspicious players.
