Monster Hunter Wilds The Apple of Her Eye guide & Ayejack location

The Apple of Her Eye is a Monster Hunter Wilds side quest that requires players to find Ayejack, the mischievous Wudwud who has stolen Alma’s glasses. So, here’s exactly how you can start the quest and where Ayejack is located. 

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 launched on April 4, giving players new monsters to fight and lots of free content to delve into. The Apple of Her Eye side quest is the latest mission from Alma, and completing it can be rather tricky. 

This is especially true if you don’t know where to find Ayejack and how to get Alma’s special glasses back. Fortunately, our guide has outlined everything you need to complete this quest as quickly as possible. 

How to start The Apple of Her Eye quest in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Apple of Her Eye quest can be started once you download Title Update 1. You’ll then need to speak to Alma, the NPC who enables you to select missions from the Quest Counter. As soon as you begin speaking to Alma, the Handler will mention that she has lost her glasses.

However, these aren’t ordinary glasses, they’re a special pair that Gemma the blacksmith made for her. The eccentric Handler will mention that it’s her dream to have her special glasses appear in a museum.

Once you’ve finished talking to Alma, you’ll need to head to the Scarlet Forest to track them down. 

The Apple of Her Eye quest steps

After speaking with Alma, you’ll need to locate her glasses by following the steps outlined below. 

• Head to the Scarlet Forest and speak to Thunk in the Wudwud Hideout. 
• Teleport back to the Area 1 base camp and head North towards the yellow quest marker. (You’ll see a Scampshroom, an old Wudwud rummaging around in the water on the path connecting to Area 2.)
• Speak to Scampshroom and then head downstream. 
• A brief clip will play, and you’ll see a Wudwud wearing Alma’s red glasses. 
• Head back to the Wudwud Hideout.
• Speak to Thunk. 
• Use the BBQ Grill and rest until night. 
• Speak to Thunk again. 
• Then head over to Ayejack. He is located within Wudwud Hideout, sleeping in some vines that dangle from the ceiling. 

Ayejack will return Alma’s glasses if you give him some Eastern Honey. Once you’ve handed over the honey, you’ll have completed the The Apple of Her Eye quest. Completing this quest will enable you to change Alma’s glasses from the Appearance Menu in your tent.

Eastern Honey location 

Eastern Honey can be traded with the NPC Trader Ren, who is located in the Ruins of Wyveria in Sild, The Keepers’ Vigil. You can also get it from capturing Giant Vigorwasp in the Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and Ruins of Wyveria.
