A Mormon podcaster has been killed in a horrific car crash after he failed to wear a seatbelt – just hours after he spoke about the afterlife.
Chandler David Hendry, 27, was driving westbound down Timpanogos Highway when he ran a red light and crashed into two vehicles crossing the intersection in Lehi, Utah.
Hendry, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Friday morning, ABC 4 reported.
No other serious injuries were reported.
'Our hearts were breaking,' his father Chad Hendry said. 'As parents, you don’t want to bury any of your children. It’s heartbreaking, it’s not right.'
Hendry was best known for his Mormon podcast, Restored Truth, which discussed the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and helped prepare young members for their missionary trips.
'I don’t have to hope that anyone remembers him as that because his legacy has reached around the globe,' his brother Chantry Hendry told the outlet.
'He’s already accomplished the mission of what he wanted to be and what he wanted to be remembered for, and that is a disciple of Jesus Christ, a gatherer of Israel, a leader and a lighthouse and a rescuer to all those who are seeking truth and all those who are seeking their Savior.'

Hendry, himself, was preparing to go on his own mission, his family said. He was also on his way home from the FAIR conference in Lehi, a three-day event regarding the church.
In a final video to his Instagram page, where he had nearly 50,000 followers, Hendry eerily talked about the afterlife.
He talked about a photograph that showed a line with others branching off it to show what the afterlife looks like.
'That is what the eternities will look like,' Hendry told his followers. 'A link of the family unit of God.'
Hendry's family remembers him as an active individual, who loved playing golf and had run 100 miles in the West Desert before his 2024 wedding to AnaLynn Hendry.
'He was an easy guy to love,' Chad said. 'He was the guy you wanted at the party.'
They also said the 27-year-old was exactly as he appeared on screen.
'He was kind of like the ribbon on the present. The present was the whole family, and he was the ribbon that just brought the final piece to the enjoyment of the package,' his father told ABC 4.
'He would also encourage people to slow down, to enjoy their relationships and tell people you love them.'

Chantry said: 'He was a giant amongst men in every way. So, for my family, we’ve all felt the weight of that.'
The family has started a GoFundMe page to help support his wife after the sudden loss.
'This fundraiser is for AnaLynn and Chandler’s parents to help ease the financial burden during this devastating time. Donations will go toward funeral expenses and help AnaLynn with any added needs that come up as she navigates this tragedy,' the fundraiser said.
It has garnered nearly $84,000 of its $110,000 goal as of Wednesday morning.
