A mother in Arizona came to the rescue when her daughter was pulled over for a speeding ticket, and managed to help her get out of the sticky situation.
A video made by Kamryn showed her sitting in the car calling her mom about a run-in with the cops, where she said, 'Mom, I screwed up.'
Her mom asked what happened and Kamryn explained 'I was going 55 in a 30, and I freaked out because I was on the phone... I told the cop that you fell in the shower and broke your leg so they wouldn't arrest me.'
Kamryn's mom rushed to help her daughter get out of speeding ticket after she lied to the police officer who pulled her over
Kamryn told her mother she was going 55 in a 30mph speed zone and she had told the police officer her mother had slipped and broken her leg in the shower
She let out a gasp of shock at her daughters actions, as Kamryn said: 'I know you're going to kill me, but I need you to help me out.'
'Kamryn Lynette,' her mother scolded as her daughter explained the officer was going to be following her home to make sure her mom was okay.
When Kamryn arrived home, she called out to see where her mom was before finding her on the bathroom floor, wrapped in a towel and pretending to have fallen while in the shower.
'God, what are you doing?' Her mom called out after noticing her daughter holding a camera. That's when Kamryn began laughing at her mom's efforts to help her out.
'I hate you, I hate you' her mom laughed, before revealing she had put on fake tears for her dramatic performance.
Many thought that Kamryn should have been left to face the consequences of her speeding, while others applauded the mom for having her daughter's back
Many applauded the moms efforts to help her daughter despite the prank which received over 400,000 likes.
'Moms are the best man,' wrote one.
'Moms always have your back. We all _uck around at some point,' another said.
One more wrote: 'Fake tears, just a towel on, fully committed to the part, absolutely flawless execution.'
However, others thought that Kamryn, and others caught in a real situation like this, should have been left to learn her lesson.
'If I were the mother, I would let my daughter be responsible for her own mistake, as this case is a life lesson for her,' one wrote.
'A mom that's OK with speeding while on the phone it's not OK AT ALL. Don't give people bad examples like we all don't have enough of it,' another said.
