Police have launched an investigation after an employee mysteriously died at an Arizona meat processing plant.
Eduardo Hernandez, 55, was found 'unresponsive' at the JBS beef plant in Tolleson on Wednesday, police confirmed to DailyMail.com.
Emergency responders received the call at 8.45am and raced to the scene where he was pronounced dead.
Hernandez's cause of death is now the subject of an investigation, but was not work-related according to JBS.
The plant then shut for the first shift of the day, 'out of respect' for the 20-year employee.
'The cause of death can't be released until the autopsy which will be within the next 48 hours,' Tolleson Police Department spokesman Lt. Lee Garrett said.
'What we can say is that the death happened on site and we are still investigating.'
Hernandez's sister Graciela Reyes was among those to post tributes to the deceased.
