A student athlete has been accused of beating a security guard to death while naked in Hawaii.
Legend Storer, 20, of Lahaina, has pleaded not guilty to the death of Sands of Kahana security guard, Michael Dyer, 63.
The student athlete, who competes at Concordia University Irvine, wept during his hearing on Friday when he saw his family was in attendance.
He was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree burglary and indecent exposure.
The champion swimmer has been ordered to be held without bail.
Dyer was found in his office around 5.30am on Wednesday, hours after Storer had been picked up by police and taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center.
Dyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Surveillance footage showed a nude Storer entering Dyer's office around 1.45am, where he 'assaulted him before fleeing on foot,' police said.

It is unknown what caused Storer to attack Dyer.
Police then received multiple calls about a naked 20-year-old man wandering the streets around 3am on Thursday.
He was discovered 30 minutes later, 'still unclothed and had sustained numerous abrasions,' police said.
Storer was taken to receive medical treatment and later transported to Wailuku Police Station without incident, police said.
The Dyer family released a statement, saying: 'Mike was a family man and very devoted to his wife, Joy.'
The family has started a GoFundMe for his funeral expenses.
'Joy’s emotional journey is just beginning as she starts to process this devastating event. They were married for 26 years,' the fundraiser said.
'We are trying to raise $20,000 to cover funeral costs for Mike. We are also trying to help Joy with therapy sessions and basic living expenses like rent and groceries. Every dollar will go towards Joy’s recovery as she begins her road to healing.'
The fundraiser has garnered more than $14,000 as of Saturday afternoon.
