Nathan Drake actor Nolan North is ready to return for another Uncharted game, joking that Sony’s decision comes down to whether it wants to make money.
It’s been a decade since Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End wrapped up Drake’s adventures. The Lost Legacy followed in 2017, but the series has yet to receive another original game.
That could be changing. Reports suggest Naughty Dog is working on a new Uncharted featuring Drake, and North has made it clear he would be happy to pick up the role again.
Speaking during a Gamergy panel in Puerto Rico, the actor enthusiastically backed a return when asked about another installment.

North said he was “110%” up for reprising Drake and predicted that another entry could be a huge hit.
“It just depends if Sony wants to make money,” he joked.
He even revealed that he was keeping himself ready for the possibility: “I absolutely would. I try to stay in shape just in case.”
North further said that he believes an Uncharted 5 announcement would be “the biggest announcement in gaming”

The actor also wanted any comeback to live up to the series, invoking another famous treasure hunter’s divisive return: “You just don’t want to make a Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
However, North said he hadn’t heard anything about a new game. His comments came in August, before the latest development reports surfaced.
According to MP1st’s September 30 report, Naughty Dog is developing an entirely new Uncharted, rather than a remake, with The Lost Legacy director Shaun Escayg leading the project.
The report claims Nathan Drake will appear in some capacity, although it couldn’t establish whether he would be the protagonist, a supporting character or a cameo. It also places the project after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in Naughty Dog’s release plans.
VGC subsequently reported that it could partially corroborate MP1st’s information through its own sources. Neither Sony nor Naughty Dog has officially announced the game.
A return would follow Neil Druckmann’s 2023 comments that Naughty Dog was done with Uncharted and moving on. For North, though, Drake’s retirement clearly doesn’t have to be permanent.
