NBC has faced backlash from NFL fans after the network allegedly censored the clip of San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa's MAGA cameo.

The 27-year-old made it clear where his political allegiance lies when he crashed his 49ers teammates' post-victory interview on the network's 'Sunday Night Football' coverage at the weekend.

The defensive lineman, who is an outspoken supporter of Trump, interrupted NBC reporter Melissa Starks post-game chat with Brock Purdy, George Kittle and Isaac Guerendo by walking into the frame and sticking his head into the center of the shot.

He repeatedly gestured to the cap he wore, which bore Donald Trump's infamous campaign slogan: 'Make America Great Again.'

After drawing attention to his pro-Trump headgear, Bosa stalked off, leaving Stark to brush off the on-air incident.

Despite the political stance making headlines, NBC reportedly attempted to sweep the incident under the rug.

The network shared a clip of the interview with San Francisco's trio of standout players to its 'Sunday Night Football' X account.

However, the version that was published had Bosa's pro-Trump photo-bomb edited out, according to Outkick and the New York Post.

DailyMail.com has contacted NBC for comment.

The alleged censorship sparked a meltdown amid furious Republican NFL fans, who slammed the network for being 'pathetic,' 'outrageous,' and 'despicable.'

'Lmfao they (sic) edited Bosa,' one fan posted, replying to Sunday Night Football's posted video with a screengrab of Bosa from the original live coverage.

'You guys absolutely suck for editing this. Pathetic woke idiots,' another also responded.

'Why did you edit out Nick Bosa showing off his MAGA hat?' one asked while another shared a photo of Bosa's cap, questioning, 'Why did this get cut out?'

'Did @60Minutes call and give you editing tips?' a fifth slammed, referring to Trump's opponent Kamala Harris's interview with 60 Minutes.

Another hit out at the network, sharing: 'Notice that NBC tries to obscure the details on Nick Bosa’s hat on live TV. For some “odd reason”, you can barely make out the gold lettering on the front. If you are not bothered by it, then there is really no hope for you.'

'NBC tried but failed to edit out San Francisco’s Nick Bosa’s MAGA hat moment Sunday. Never ends with the left’s censorship. Coming to a neighborhood near you if Kamala wins. Just incredible,' another said, branding the move 'censorship.'

'When msm censors anyone for displaying a maga hat, I immediately think they have something to hide. They are worried Trump will shine a light onto their corruption or worse if elected,' one social media user claimed, hitting out at the 'mainstream media' in general.

'Dems have been begging for this all week. The man put a hat on and they completely fell apart. Absolutely pathetic,' another criticized.

After the backlash, Sunday Night Football appeared to delete the edited clip from its platform with links to the post directing social media users to a message stating the post was no longer available.

It reportedly later re-shared the unedited segment, showing the entirety of Stark's interview and Bosa's cameo.

Bosa was reserved after the game when he was asked about his decision to wear the hat.

'I'm not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it's an important time,' he said on the podium - with a different cap on his head.

NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' account has since deleted the reported edited video

The 27-year-old has been an outspoken proponent of Donald Trump in the past

Bosa was then asked if he had been tempted in the past to speak more about his political beliefs.

'It's definitely a little easier nowadays, but no, I don't feel to inclined to do that,' he said.

'It's just a different climate.'

Bosa has been an outspoken supporter of Trump in the past - tweeting out pro-Trump content before being picked second overall by the 49ers in 2019.

The pass rusher was chosen much to the ire of the team's more liberal fans in the Bay Area, where Democratic candidate Harris hails from.

Some 49ers fans reacted with fury over the San Francisco team's decision to draft Bosa , due to his reputation as a Trump supporter and his history of 'insensitive' posts on social media.

Aside from supporting Trump's presidency, Bosa had a history of tweeting negative statements about black pop culture icons and entertainment properties — posts which his agent scrubbed from his online presence amid his surging 2019 draft prospects.

Among his deleted tweets were statements in which he called activist and former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick a 'clown,' wrote NBA star Dwyane Wade 'looks like a parrot fish' and noted that Black Panther was the 'worst Marvel movie.'

He also tweeted that 'Beyonce's music is complete trash' in 2016, just six days after she released her album Lemonade, featuring the politically-charged song Formation. Earlier in the year, Beyonce had faced criticism for wearing a Black Panther-inspired outfit and performing Formation during the Super Bowl halftime show.

He previously tweeted 'Love this man' while retweeting a video of Trump's weekly address and posted a photo of himself giving the thumbs up next to a cardboard cutout of Trump.

Bosa, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was also quoted as saying that he's a 'big fan' of Trump, adding, 'He brings a charisma that no other candidate has [had] in my lifetime,' according to SF Gate.

He was also pictured alongside the 45th president earlier this year with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
