NBCUniversal and Nexstar Media have renewed their ongoing distribution deal across NBC affiliate TV stations.
The companies announced the renewal Wednesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new pact is a multi-year agreement across NBC TV Network affiliates in 33 markets in the U.S., including 29 stations owned by Irving, Texas-based TV station giant group Nexstar, three owned by Mission Broadcasting and one owned by White Knight Broadcasting. Combined, the 33 stations have a reach of more than 14 million U.S. TV households.
Nexstar’s extension of its carriage deal with NBC means the network’s current primetime series, including Dick Wolf’s “Law & Order” and “Chicago” franchises, Zachary Quinto-led medical drama “Brilliant Minds,” “Deal or No Deal Island,” and daytime staples like the “Today” show will continue to air without interruption across those affiliate stations.
More to come.
