A Mississippi man has been taken into custody after a woman suffered a severe injury when she touched a booby-trapped parking sign.
After months of frustration over neighbors messing with his 'no parking' signs near his mobile home, Jason Scott Curle, 51, of Oxford allegedly stuck razor blades around a homemade notice and placed it in the gravel of his driveway.
As a result, a woman who attempted to move the lethal sign on November 20 was left with a deep cut on her right hand.
Jordan Jennings, a manager of Sky Mart Bait Shop and Grocery, helped the victim when she rushed into his store for assistance.
'It wasn't gushing or anything but it was a cut. It cut her good. She was asking for a cloth, something to clean it off,' he told WREG.
'I rushed to get her one and she was very distraught [and] upset about something,'
Curle's wife Michelle later told The Oxford Eagle that parents with children enrolled in a nearby school had been blocking their gravel driveway nearly every day during drop off and pick up - causing the couple misery.
But responding Lafayette County Sheriff's Office deputies soon realized that the hazardous sign had been fixed in an area owned by the school rather than on the duo's property.

According to WREG, the gravel driveway where the Curles' mobile home was parked on County Road 130 had recently been enlarged and some of the area belonged to the school.
Michelle also claimed the couple had made multiple attempts to speak to the school and county officials about the issue.
County officials noted they had recently spoken to the pair about the problem and assured that both they and the school had plans to create more parking space that would be set in motion after Thanksgiving, according to the Eagle.
Since the incident, other community members have expressed shock and dismay.
'It's sad that in today's time we are finding that we can't really have a disagreement without being cruel or being mean in life,' one told FOX13.
Dorothy Smith, a local resident was left horrified by the act and said: 'Oh, that's awful.'
Describing the pain of cutting a hand on a razor blade, another local resident revealed it to be 'probably a nine out of 10.'
Jason was charged with aggravated assault for purposely attempting to cause injury and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

He was released the same day on a $20,000 bond. Jason is set to appear in court in February 2025.
This comes months after a raging neighbor was seen finally getting their revenge on a driver who had been parking in front of their house for three years.
Video footage showed a black Kia being towed away from the property, where it had been left directly in front of a 'no parking' sign.
A 30-minute clip of the incident was shared to YouTube by the towing company Everything Auto, who turned up to remove the car on behalf of the complainant.
On camera, a worker is seen attaching the car to the back of a tow truck, ready to be pulled away.
Meanwhile, another pans the camera to show the bright red and black 'no parking' sign that the property owners had erected.
This is the moment a raging neighbor finally got revenge on the driver who had been parking in their space for three years - despite there being a clear sign that said they couldn't
The duo proceeded to tow the car away and share an audio snippet of the phone conversation the company later had with the car owner.
The back and forth continued for a while and the Everything Auto worker suggested the driver pay to rent a parking space of his own and he agreed he would need to think of a solution.
According to US law, it's not illegal to park outside someone's house if a parking space is available on a public road - even if it's directly in front of your house, anyone is allowed to park in it.
Any member of the public can park there as long as it is not a designated space or a road that's governed by residents' parking permits.
