Against all the odds Netflix series La Palma has shot up the most-watched list on the streaming service.

The four-part show, which has been dubbed 'cringe-worthy' by some viewers, hit our screens last week - and it has already got a lot of people talking about it on social media.

La Palma follows the story of a Norwegian family that travel to the Spanish island.

Things don't get off to a good start, after a number of tourists die during a boat accident, just days before Fredrik, Jennifer and their kids, Sara and Tobias arrive.

It then gets worse after researchers Marie and Haukur spot the signs of a potential volcanic eruption - which could have devastating consequences for everyone on the island.

The brand new series has become a huge hit on Netflix.

Another added: '#LaPalmaNetflix waste of time."
