Netflix has released the official trailer for Australian period drama My Brilliant Career, and it looks like Eloise Bridgerton in the Aussie bush.

Based on Miles Franklin' classic novel published in 1901, the series follows aspiring writer Sybylla (Philippa Northeast), who is more interested in building her career than securing a good marriage. With no intentions on becoming a demure wife, she rails against her family's designs as well as societal expectations of her as a young woman.

However, despite Sybylla's ambitions, her plans for an independent life become endangered when she falls in love.

Written and produced by Liz Doran (Please Like Me), the series features Christopher Chung (Slow Horses), Anna Chancellor (My Lady Jane), Genevieve O'Reilly (Andor), Kate Mulvany (Hunters), Jake Dunn (Renegade Nell), Alexander England (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart), Sherry-Lee Watson (Heartbreak High), and Miah Madden (The Clearing).

My Brilliant Career arrives Aug. 13 on Netflix.
