Robert Jenrick has issued a brutal jibe at the Conservative Party in his Westminster speech this morning, declaring: “I have never been happier to be shot of this dying cult.”
“The Tory party has turned on everybody that I am in politics for,” the Reform MP said of his former party.
“This wasn't just the surrender of the Red Wall. Let's be very clear: it was the Tories telling everyone who has to work for a living to get stuffed. Gone is the Essex man. Gone is the Worcester woman.
“In their place: Nepo babies and a new plan to go after Lib Dem voters. Apparently, well, fine. Good luck to you.
“Don't come begging to us if you want a pact or a deal, because you deserve everything that you're going to get at the next general election.”
The Reform treasury spokesman issued a damning verdict on the Conservatives, declaring the party of legendary Tory Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli is “dead”.
“I'll just come out and say it: the party of Disraeli is dead,” he said.
“He said that the Tory party, unless it is a national party, is nothing,” Mr Jenrick slammed, highlighting the decline of the Conservative voter base.

“Reform is a national party. We are here to serve the whole country.”
MrJenrick continued his broadside against the Conservatives, branding the Tory leader “Kensington Kemi”, targeting Mrs Badenoch’s plans to axe inheritance tax on homes.
"Kensington Kemi knows who her people are. They're millionaires, not Mansfield. They're the wealthy, not the workers," he claimed.
"Her polices will benefit almost nobody outside London and the south east.”
He argued that the Conservative Party is “nothing more than a metropolitan pressure group for the wealthiest”.
Mrs Badenoch vowed to slash inheritance tax earlier this week at the Conservative Party Conference, as she promised her party would focus on letting people “keep more of what they earn” if it returned to power.
Mr Jenrick, who said he would resign if the income tax threshold was not raised to £15,000 within 100 days of a Reform government, said the policy would be funded by cuts to foreign aid and green policies.
“We’d like to abolish inheritance tax altogether because taxing people on their death isn’t right,” he said, adding: "But in the first hundred days of a Reform government, in our very first Budget, I will raise tax-free allowance from £12,570 to £15,000.
“It’s a bigger tax cut, for more people. £500 a year back for every basic-rate taxpayer, including the lowest paid.
“Nearly £1,000 for a working couple. Three million of the lowest paid out of income tax altogether. It will leave 40 million people better off. And if it isn’t done in 100 days, I’ll resign."
