A local news team in Detroit fell apart after one of its hosts sought to note the health benefits of eating 'beaver.'

Fox 2 News Good Day Detroit's Deena Centofanti was wrapping a segment on a reality show when she made the unintentionally risqué remark.

The History Channel show, Alone, follows contestants as they hunt and catch wildlife for food.

Centofanti explained how 'they're ice-fishing because everything's frozen.

'And you're looking for fat, in the beaver.'

Meteorologist Derek Kevra immediately offered a mischievous 'yeah'.

Anchor Ryan Ermanni, also picking up on the double-entendre, desperately tried to keep it together.

'The beaver is the most sought-after,' Centofanti smiled, now also in-the-know.

Kevra agreed, with a knowing 'It is!'

The entire Fox 2 News Good Day Detroit team fell into a fit of laughter last week after anchor Deena Centofanti brought up reality show contestants eating 'beaver' on the History Channel's 'Alone'

Co-anchor Ryan Ermanni - no thanks to Centofanti - couldn't keep it together

All three journalists began cracking up at this point.

Centofanti - back from a two-month break following a family medical emergency - sought to riff some more.

'Ryan, would you - do you think you could eat beaver?' she asked.

Centofanti pointed out how the animal is loaded with 'fat' and made of 'meat.'

Ermanni lost it. Not helping was Kevra, who noted: 'It made them all sick, though. They all got sick after it.'

Ermanni soon found himself in a full-on belly-laugh, his face buried in hands.

'Well, you have to- you can’t eat diseased animals,' a smiling Centofanti said, still egging him on.

'What about a moose?' she asked.

The moment went viral after Centofanti and Meteorologist Derek Kevra, realizing the word's suggestive slang double meaning, leaned into the fun

Her co-anchor, struggling to regain his composure, managed: 'I don’t know. I don’t know anything about this show, Deena. But you’re really funny.'

Ermanni later shared the clip on social media, even changing his default to a still from the blooper.

Centofanti couldn't resist one more zinger, harnessing the name of the History Channel show.

'Watching the show “Alone” - you learn stuff.'

The moment is going viral on social media.
