A Cincinnati traffic reporter was forced to censor himself live on-air while watching a car crash play out before him in real-time.
WCPO 9 Meteorologist and traffic anchor KJ Jacobs was in the middle of breaking down the flow of vehicles along Interstate 71 Thursday night when the two-car collision occurred.
He had been pointing to one of the cars involved as it happened.
The vehicle was stopped between the highway's shoulder and an on-ramp with its hazards on, when another car suddenly came up from behind and attempted to change lanes.
Instead of making it past the stopped car, the second vehicle smashed directly into its rear.
'Traffic is slowing down on both sides around this car, as well as that on ramp.
'Oh shi-' Jacobs said as it happened. The feed was being streamed live.
'Oh, I’m so sorry,' the anchor continued, visibly rattled.

He quickly composed himself after nearly cursing on-air. A clip of the moment he posted online has received nearly 10million views
As Jacobs tried to find the words for what had just occurred, he trailed off again.
'Literally just watched a crash happen in real time, and I almost said something inappropriate,' he eventually said.
The entire scene spanned about 15 seconds.
Jacobs posted it to both X and Facebook, where it received millions of views in a matter of hours.
'First time seeing a crash during a traffic segment #blooper,' Jacobs wrote on X.
In an early morning update about the crash the following morning, the reporter wrote: 'Crash involving two drivers... First responders on scene.
'Expect slow downs and lane closures.'
No other information about the crash has been made public.
I-71 is a vital 345-mile regional corridor that services Ohio and Kentucky.
