NFL players reveal gross reason they hate playing in Pittsburgh

Not every road trip in the NFL is pleasant, with an away game at the Pittsburgh Steelers' Acrisure Stadium ranking in a tie for the seventh-least desirable location for an NFL game according to a recent survey.  

Pittsburgh got 4.1 percent of the votes in the poll from The Athletic, with Green Bay taking first place with a staggering 16.8 percent voting it the worst road trip in the league.

Finishing in between Green Bay and Pittsburgh are Buffalo, New York, Washington, Cleveland, and Jacksonville. 

However, the comments as to why Pittsburgh is a terrible place to play truly stuck out.  

'I would say Pittsburgh, because it smells like p*** in their locker room,' one player stated for the survey.

'Pittsburgh. Even though it’s my vibe: tough. It’s just always gray and s***ty weather there,' a second NFL player added. 

The Steelers have played at Acrisure Stadium since 2001 after the demolition of Three Rivers Stadium, which they shared with baseball's Pittsburgh Pirates. 

Pittsburgh has been deemed as notoriously cold during December and January NFL games, much like in Green Bay and Buffalo. 

This season, the Steelers are off to a good start with a 3-1 record, losing their first game of the year last Sunday against the Colts.

Pittsburgh has a one-game lead in the AFC North with 14 weeks to go in the NFL season. 

If that keeps up, it seems like more important games will happen with away teams coming out of the p***-smelling locker room.
