As a sports fan and weather enthusiast, I had hearts in my eyes.

During the first half of the “Thursday Night Football” contest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, there was a snow flurry here and there that made for quite the sight. After all, it’s the first time that we’ve had snow here in the 2024 season. (RELATED: Baker Mayfield Single Handedly Saves High School Football Team’s Season Just For Them To Win State Championship)

But then things got real in the second half, as a heavy snowfall hit the Cleveland region to give us our first official snow game of the campaign.

When the third quarter arrived, we went from flurries to the Steelers and Browns playing in a straight up snow globe, with the snow coming down harder and harder and harder … and harder … as the time went along. Hell, there was so much snow that it was even accumulating on Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin’s beard and hat.

Scenes from the “Thursday Night Football” game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns shows heavy lake effect snowfall.

In fact, the area is under a lake effect snow warning, with the region expected to get 3-8 inches. The warning is in effect until 2AM. pic.twitter.com/dnicPu1rJg
