Couture never looked so cool.

At Wednesday night’s “Lioness” Season 3 premiere in NYC, Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet wearing a look from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut haute couture collection for Fendi.

The centerpiece of her look? A sheer, scalloped 1920s-inspired tunic made from embroidered metal on a tulle base, which Kidman paired with ivory side-striped tuxedo trousers and open-toed heels.

More than $50,000 worth of Roberto Coin jewelry — including a snake-inspired bangle and ring set and rose gold diamond drop earrings — completed the ensemble.

Fendi Creative Director Chiuri returned to the house last fall after a 36-year hiatus, with her first couture collection hitting the runway in Rome just a few weeks ago.

Though Kidman might not have been obviously method-dressing for the “Lioness” premiere, it’s fitting that she looked to a female designer to dress her for the event.
