Nigel Farage says 'there are a lot more Trump signs on lawns' than four years ago as voters head to polls

The Clacton MP told GB News: "I have been here since before the polls open. We're on the outskirts of Scranton, which, of course, is Joe Biden's hometown.

"I've been talking to voters, both Democrats and Republicans, just trying to get a feel. One thing I will say that's come through from several people.

He added: "Then later on tonight I'll be down in Florida and I'll be in the ballroom at Mar-A-Lago as the results come in, and I've got everything crossed, but I still believe it'll be a Trump win."

Discussing his shout out last night a Trump rally, Farage said: "I was really quite shocked that suddenly, you know, where's Nigel stand up and saying nice things.

"But look the thing about Trump is if you're a friend of his, you really are a friend of his. He's very loyal to you. So it was very kind of him. I was very flattered and surprised."

At his final campaign rally in Reading, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump paid tribute to Farage, calling him a "spectacular man" and a "rebel".

Trump told the crowd: "He's always been my friend for some reason. He liked me, I like him. He's shaking it up over there."

Farage, holding a "Make America Great Again" cap, stood and waved to the audience in response.

He told GB News: "Trump is a friend of our country. He wants to do a trade deal."

Despite his support for Trump, Farage advised the former president to concede if Harris wins decisively.

He told The Telegraph: "If [the result] was clear and decisive then maybe it's time [for Trump] to go and play golf at Turnberry."

Farage also suggested that if Harris wins, she should consider pardoning Trump to "dampen down potential tensions" following the election.
