Camilla Tominey has waded into the James Bond debate, declaring "no Americans, no woke Bond" during a recent GB News discussion
Her comments come as speculation intensifies about who will replace Daniel Craig as 007.
The debate has been further fuelled by Pierce Brosnan's recent assertion that the next Bond "should be British."
Speaking about the franchise on GB News, Camilla said: "Let's have a look at some of the contenders here.
"When did he enter the fray? And you made the point why isn’t Theo James from The Gentlemen and White Lotus Season 2 in the mix?
The Spectator's US editor Freddie Gray also said: "Before I sound too eager about Theo James, I’ll say my wife is very keen.
"I think most people's wives are. He’s very good-looking, and he has that British charm, which I think you need for a Bond character."
"Because the fear now is that Amazon are going to pick either an American know or perhaps a woke figure."
Camilla replied: "No Americans, no woke bond. We just can't do it.
Brosnan told The Sunday Telegraph that it is a "given" that the next James Bond should be British.
Amazon's acquisition of Bond has sparked rumours of major changes to the Bond franchise beyond just casting a new lead actor.
According to Metro, industry insiders claim bosses are discussing potential spin-offs involving CIA operative Felix Leiter and MI6 secretary Miss Moneypenny.

There's even talk of "a female 007" being considered for future projects.
The Hollywood Reporter noted: "Sources close to the franchise say the streamer approached the Broccolis with pitches for a TV series based on Moneypenny... as well as a show about Bond CIA buddy Felix Leiter."
The next announcement regarding Bond's future remains uncertain, with no clear timeline for when the next film will be made.
The gap between 2021's No Time To Die and the next instalment could break the six-year record for the longest period between Bond releases.
