These soldiers may view their Russian tour with pride and as a chance to make good money, see a foreign country and win preferred treatment for their families back home.
“None would think they are going to Russia to die,” Choi said. “But I think they're cannon fodder because they will be sent to the most dangerous sites and will surely be killed.”

**Large North Korean troop casualties would be a major political blow for Kim Jong Un,**
I don’t think so. It’s the potential defectors we can lure.
**North Korean soldiers have been trained on the Korean Peninsula’s mountainous terrain and are not familiar with the largely flat plain battlefields in the Russian-Ukraine war.**
China got it’s butt kicked when they attacked Viet Nam. Kim is just as naive.

Poking around the internet last night (I know that's a bad thing to do...) I discovered videos and posts that seems to indicate there are many foreign troops from several nations fighting alongside Ukrainian troops.
The foreign troops tend to be small unit sizes and poorly equipped and in some cases have problems with communications due to language barriers...what is going on here and why is this war taking so long to end?
