NYC Costco shoppers empty shelves in panic over port strike: ‘No toilet paper, paper towels’

The dockworkers strike that has shut down dozens of ports on the East and Gulf Coasts has reportedly triggered panic buying of toilet paper and paper towels at a Costco on Staten Island — despite experts’ insistence that paper products won’t be affected by the strike.
Video footage on Wednesday showed vast, empty shelves of toilet paper, paper towels and facial tissues. One segment posted by FreedomNews.TV shows just a few pallets of Kleenex at the Costco on Richmond Avenue near the Staten Island Mall.

People might want to look at things China produces. Taurin in cat food for one. No Taurine, no cat food.
Yup. I have cats.

Same programming, same imbeciles, different day.

The girl at the store up by the interstate said that town was out of TP. I bought a 18 pack of mega rolls out here where I am. We were getting low anyway but I also figured the panic buying would happen. Gotta go grocery shopping today.

Unless you count Canada as "Overseas". Some of it is made there.

Winter’s coming, leaves all gone, and us without Sears catalogues! “Computers are our friends”, they said. “We’ll get rid of all that paper!”, they said.

I just got back from local Walmart. Lady works there said it had been crazy. We laughed about them buying toliet paper as it is made here. I did buy extra coffee because it might be in short supply. Strangely the bread aisle was almost empty too. Could be people buying stuff to take to hurricane victims. I did that for Katrina but not able to help much now.

Typical NYC voter: “This is a disaster! The whole country is falling apart. I will, however, still vote for Harris.”
Sigh. 😒
