Mayor Eric Adams will reinstate the next two NYPD classes — adding 1,600 cops to the ranks by next fall — after they were axed by painful budget cuts to cover the migrant crisis, The Post has learned.
The long-awaited infusion of rookie cops to the nation’s largest police force will add officers to its already depleted ranks with a more than $100 million restoration to the NYPD’s budget, City Hall sources said.

The NYPD’s January and April 2025 classes will be restored, sources said.
Cops in the classes will be on the street by October next year, according to sources.
