Former President Barack Obama attempted rapping onstage Tuesday after he was introduced by Eminem at a rally in Detroit.

Eminem came onstage and took a subtle swipe at former President Donald Trump - expressing his support for Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, and saying she wouldn't be out for 'retribution.'

He then made way for Obama, who admitted that he was feeling 'nervous' having to follow the Real Slim Shady.

'I was feeling some kind of way following Eminen,' Obama said. 'Now I noticed that my palms are sweaty, knees weaks, arms are heavy, there's vomit on my sweater already, mom's spaghetti.'

The audience started screaming when they realized Obama was rapping to Eminem's 2002 hit, Lose Yourself.

'I'm nervous but on the surface I was calm and ready. To drop bombs but he keeps on forgetting,' he said to more screaming, as he mouthed the beat into the microphone.

'I thought Eminem was going to be performing and I was going to jump out,' Obama admitted after he wrapped up the rap.

For his part, Eminem sported a khaki ballcap and jacket and gave a low-key introduction after previously accusing Trump of 'brainwashing' his supporters and being a 'racist.'

'As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me,' the 8 Mile star said.

'Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it's important to use your voice, so I'm encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please,' the rapper said.

'I also think that people shouldn't be afraid to express their opinions, and I don't think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution of what people will do if you make your opinion known,' Eminem continued.

Trump has previously promised to be his supporters' 'retribution.'

'I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld,' he said. 'And here to tell you much more about that, President Barack Obama,' Eminem said to loud cheers.

The two hugged onstage before Eminem departed - with Lose Yourself playing  as the ex-president entered.

Detroit-based rapper Eminem pumped his first as he walked out onstage to introduce former President Barack Obama at a rally Tuesday night in support of Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris

Throughout his address, Obama continued to take swips at Trump as he has since stepping out solo earlier this month at the University of Pittsburgh.

'It is good to be back in Michigan, good to be back in Motor City,' the ex-president said.

'I heard there was another rally here Friday night but it was a little smaller than this one,' he added, clearly trying to get under Trump's skin.

Trump rallied at the downtown Huntington Place convention center on Friday night, after insulting the city on several occasions.

'The whole country will be like - you want to know the truth? It'll be like Detroit,' Trump said at the Detroit Economic Club earlier this month. 'Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's your president.'

Trump's rally ended up being memorable more for what he didn't say than what he did - as his mic failed for more than 15 minutes.

Ahead of Obama and Eminem's appearances at the same venue, Rep. Elissa Slotkin, the Democratic Senate hopeful, said 12,000 people were in attendance - with paramedics sporadically being called because the confines were so tight.

Obama continued mocking Trump for selling products during his presidential run.

'I mean, who is hawking merch when they're running for president? He's trying to sell you golden sneakers,' Obama commented. 'He's trying to sell you a $100,000 watch. Says it's made in Switzerland, but nobody really knows.'

'My favorite is the Trump Bible,' the ex-president said with a laugh, insinuating that it was probably not made in the USA. 'He's Mr. Tough Guy on China, except when he can make a few bucks.'

The former Democratic president also jabbed Trump for some of his recent antics.

'He'll give like two and a half hour speeches. Just a word salad,' Obama said. 'You don't know what the heck he's saying.'

'The other day he had a town hall meeting. Now I've had a lot of town hall meetings and the point is that you're supposed to listen and then answer questions from your constituents. About 45 minutes into it, you just say, "you know what? I don't feel like taking questions anymore,' Obama said. 'And then he just played music of half an hour.'

'He's just up there swaying to Ave Maria and YMCA,' the ex-president continued. 'Can you imagine if Elissa or Gretchen or I did that?'

He was referencing Slotkin and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

'Now I will say our playlist might be better,' he laughed.

'I'd have Lose Yourself on there,' Obama added.
