American actor Armand Assante was 47 years old when he played Odysseus -- one of the most famous heroes of Greek mythology -- the brilliant warrior king carrying the weight of his past -- in the 1997 miniseries "The Odyssey."
Armand shared the big screen with Vanessa Williams, Greta Scacchi, and Isabella Rossellini.
