American Olympics sprint star Fred Kerley was reportedly tasered before being arrested and charged with battery on a police officer in Miami on Thursday night.
Miami Beach police officers say Kerley, who won 100m bronze at last year's Olympics in Paris, approached a police scene to express concerns about his vehicle which was parked nearby.
It's claimed the 29-year-old then became increasingly aggressive and would not move on when asked to by officers.
Kerley then allegedly tried to fight the officers, who called for back up, and had to be tasered as a result, according to local news station WSVN.
As well as his bronze in Paris, Kerley also has a 100m silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He is also a former 100m world champion and has world championship gold medals in the 4x400m and 4x100m relays.
